Local Networking Meetings
Network Luton meets every week on a Wednesday morning at Couture Stockwood Discovery Centre, Stockwood Park, London Road, Luton at 7:00am for 7:30am.
Our purpose in meeting is to generate referral business opportunities and, as you've probably gathered, our focus is on building trusted business relationships rather than forcing compliance to a rigid, inflexible meeting format geared solely to referral counting.
We run an informal meeting style with a healthier breakfast for just £10.00 and want members to spend the maximum amount of time networking rather than sitting in a business meeting. Join us for breakfast!
Business Introductions
During a meeting each business owner will introduce themselves and their company to the Group. By offering a glimpse into their business, members can increase their understanding of eachothers' business and increase the likelihood of stimulating business opportunities.
We know that not only do these weekly introductions and refreshers help you to quickly convey what your business is about but that they will help you sharpen your own presentation skills and help you refine your sales messages.
What Makes A Good Introduction?
Try to avoid falling into the trap of giving the same elevator pitch every week as it'll soon become tired, look for something new to bring to the group each week and you'll be surprised how the group will respond.
- An overview of what you business does or sells;
- A clear indication of the kinds of customers you work with and look for;
- What aspects your customers recognise as being of value;
- Your unique core differentiators;
- A recent example of where your business has made a difference;
- Your business perspective on a trend, legislation, development, news...
- The best introductions are meaningful, educational and helpful insights into your business that can be wrapped-up inside one minute.

Your aim for the business introduction will be to have left the group members with information that they can tactfully use in discussions with their business contacts to help identify new business opportunities which they can refer back to you.
Network Profiles
We regularly devote a portion of the meeting to a Network Profile where members have an opportunity to present a business product, service, issue or case study in more depth than perhaps could normally be addressed in the standard business introduction.
